On Friday, thousands gathered at the heart of Meanjin for Musgrave Park Family Fun Day in celebration of NAIDOC Week, with this years theme For Our Elders.
With barely a cloud in the sky, the mob and community showed up in carloads, styled up in Indigenous colors, ready to come together in solidarity.
In usual NAIDOC Week fashion, festivities included many live performances from traditional owners, information tents from a huge range of organisations, food and drinks, games, stalls, rides and spots for our elders to enjoy tea and coffee.

One community member said: "I love it. The whole mobs here and there's heaps of stuff to look at, I just hope I can get a free shirt."
"It's funny bumping into everyone you haven't seen for a while too. It's a huge place but everyone feels connected."

A community elder mentioned she loves seeing how many new faces turn up each year.
"I've been rallying and marching in Brisbane for over 40 years and it still brings me joy to see what we've achieved and how much the movement is growing."
