An artist, a politician, an Elder and more. Six deadly First Nations women have been inducted into the Western Australian Women's Hall of Fame for 2023.
Altogether sixteen women have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and a further four women have been inducted into the Roll of Honour posthumously.
The First Nations women inducted are Doctor Charmaine Papertalk Green a Wajarri, Badimaya and Wilunyu woman who recently completed her PhD on Yamaji narratives; Yamatji-Noongar Greens Senator Dorinda Cox; Noongar Elder Dorothy Bagshaw; Banjima director of Aboriginal Health Strategy Nola Naylor; Yindjibarndi dean of Indigenous Futures at Curtin University Mandy Downing; and director and entrepreneur Katina Law from Worora and Walmajarri Country.
Ms Law spoke emotionally of her pride in the companies she has managed and about the legacy she hopes to leave.

"I think I probably I'm proudest of the companies that I've managed to build and the legacy that they will leave," she said.
"I didn't get here on my own. It's many people who have helped me on the way and particular men who chose me.
"Ultimately, there weren't any women around so it was up to the men and you know I thank them."
Similarly, Senator Cox said her pride in being inducted comes from knowing she is creating a cultural legacy.

"You're being the beacon for my daughters, other First Nations women and our children and girls in the future," she said.
"And I think that's an important part of the aspiration to be all that you can.
"And it doesn't matter if you're not a senator, it doesn't matter if you're not a lawyer or a doctor you are someone who is worthy.
"And you are someone who is doing the important work in the community and I think that's where we ground ourselves."
A digital photographic exhibition on Yagan Square Digital Tower will showcase all of the inductees today, March 8.
And a photographic exhibition will run from March 8 to 17 at Brookfield Place, Tower 1 on weekdays.
