NSW Police have appealed for public assistance to locate an Indigenous woman missing from Sydney's north west.

Sarah Jackson, 33 was last seen at St Mary's Railway Station at approximately 6.20pm on Saturday 3 October.

When Ms Jackson was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Bot police and family hold concerns for Ms Jackson's welfare.

She is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 140cm tall, of a medium build, with brown shoulder-length hair.

Ms Jackson was last seen wearing a green Everlast cap, blue Tommy jumper, black Champion long pants and pink Nike TN's with no laces.

She is known to frequent the Penrith and Kings Cross areas.
