The Central Australian Football League has cancelled this weekend's fixtures.
The decision has been made out of respect for the grieving family of Kumanjayi Little Baby and the wider community.
In a statement, AFL Northern Territory confirmed the round would not go ahead.
"AFL Northern Territory advises that the TIO Central Australian Football League (CAFL) competition fixtures scheduled for this weekend will not go ahead," the statement read.
"This decision has been made in light of the tragic events in Alice Springs and out of respect for the grieving family, the local community, and all those affected.
"AFLNT recognises the profound impact this situation has had across Central Australia and the wider Territory community.
"Football plays an important role in bringing communities together, but at this time it is appropriate to pause and allow time and space for support, and community wellbeing."
The organisation also extended its condolences to those impacted.

"Our thoughts are with the family, her loved ones, and the broader Alice Springs community during this incredibly difficult time," they said.
"AFLNT also acknowledges and thanks the emergency services personnel, volunteers, and community members who have worked tirelessly over recent days."
Support services were also highlighted, with AFLNT encouraging anyone affected to seek help.
"For those in the community who may need support, we encourage reaching out to local services, clubs, and support networks."
Details around the potential rescheduling of matches are yet to be confirmed.
Federal had been scheduled to take on West at Traeger Park, while Pioneer and Rovers were set to meet in a top-of-the-table clash at Albrecht Oval.
The decision to cancel matches has drawn a mixed response, with many backing the call, while others question whether it could further inflame community unrest by leaving people with more idle time.
On the field, Rovers currently sit on top of the CAFL ladder after three rounds, narrowly ahead of Pioneer on equal points.
West and Federal follow closely behind having each recorded one win, while Souths are still searching for their first victory of the season.
In the community senior men's competition, Yuendumu, Mt Allan and Western Aranda Bulldogs are equal ladder leaders, all on eight points.
