Based in Broome, the Kimberley Land Council’s (KLC) Regional Infrastructure Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, practical and fit-for-purpose ranger bases, workspaces, sheds, staff accommodation and other associated facilities across remote Kimberley communities.
This is a hands-on opportunity to lead meaningful regional projects that strengthen the day-to-day operations of ranger teams and support Traditional Owners to look after, manage and take control of their traditional Country.
Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities, KLC teams, contractors, government, industry and service providers, you will coordinate projects from early planning and community agreements through procurement, construction, handover, ongoing maintenance and facility management. You will bring together technical knowledge, sound financial and risk management, and strong stakeholder relationships to keep multiple projects moving and ensure infrastructure is culturally appropriate, high quality and suited to the realities of remote locations.
With regular travel across the Kimberley, this role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to solve complex challenges in partnership with people who are deeply connected to place. If you are a collaborative project professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, and you are motivated by work with genuine community impact, this is an opportunity to contribute to infrastructure that supports strong ranger programs, healthier Country and a sustainable future for Kimberley communities.

- Oversee the safety, quality, condition and ongoing maintenance of facilities and supporting infrastructure.

- Confidence working respectfully with Aboriginal communities and knowledge of cross-cultural contexts, Native Title, land tenure and community governance.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to navigate differing stakeholder interests and drive outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, high integrity and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Current manual driver’s licence and a WA Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
Bring your expertise to a role with purpose, and help deliver safe, practical facilities and infrastructure that supports Kimberley Traditional Owners and ranger teams to care for Country.
