ABOUT THE ROLE

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cricket Advisory Group (NATSICAG) plays an important role in shaping the future of cricket by providing Cricket Australia with strategic guidance on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters. The group helps strengthen meaningful connections between First Nations peoples and cricket, supports the development and delivery of Cricket Australia’s Reconciliation Action Plan, and contributes to education and understanding across the broader cricket community.

We are seeking a passionate and respected leader to join NATSICAG as the Independent Co-Chair, a voluntary advisory position. Working in partnership with the Cricket Australia Co-Chair, this role will help guide thoughtful discussion, support strong governance and ensure First Nations voices, perspectives and experiences continue to inform decision-making across Australian Cricket. This is a unique opportunity for someone who cares deeply about the game, understands the importance of genuine inclusion and is committed to helping cricket be a sport where First Nations peoples feel seen, heard and valued.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Respected and credible standing within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• A strong commitment to reconciliation and positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
• Experience contributing to boards, advisory groups, governance committees or similar forums.
• Confident facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to guide constructive discussion and build consensus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with community representatives, Cricket Australia, State and Territory Associations and other stakeholders.
• Ability to provide independent and balanced judgement, with no formal association with a State or Territory Cricket Association.
