Ash Gardner's Trent Rockets have bowed out of The Hundred competition in winning fashion.
The Rockets won a tight tussle against the Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday to finish with a 4-4 record, earning them fourth overall and one place shy of qualifying for Saturday's Eliminator.
Gardner picked up one wicket in the Phoenix's innings of 6/123, dismissing Phoenix wicketkeeper Amy Jones (9 from 7) caught and bowled to finish with figures of 1/18 from her 15 balls.
Fellow spinner Kirstie Gordon was the pick of the blowers, finishing with 2/24, while Phoenix opener Emma Lamb top scored with 56* (42)
In response the Rockets chased down the total with three wickets in hand.
Gardner faced just seven balls in her innings, scoring 10, including two boundaries, before being caught from the bowling of fellow Australian Megan Schutt (2/24).

Rockets No. 3 Nat Sciver-Brunt almost single handedly led the Rockets to victory with a superb 52 from just 29 balls.
The all-rounder struck six boundaries and two sixes to lead her side to 3/102 before losing her wicket, with the Rockets' tail seeing the home side to victory with three balls to spare.
In her first professional tournament as captain, Gardner finished just outside the competition's top 10 run scorers with 186 runs at an average of 23.23 while striking at 143.84.
Her best performance with the bat came against the Northern Superchargers on August 10 where she scored 61, her first The Hundred half-century.
With the ball the Muruwari woman took eight wickets at an average of 20.75 with a best bowling of 2/10.
The London Spirit and Northern Superchargers will face off in Saturday's Eliminator before eat winner faces the Southern Brace in the competition's Final the following day.
