An all-round performance from Anita Silva has lead the Northern Territory's women's team to its first win whilst Queensland maintain strong tournament from, easily accounting for Victoria at the National Indigenous Cricket Championships.

Northern Territory (1-80) defeated Western Australia (10-79) by 9 wickets

The Northern Territory has won its first match in the women's division of the National Indigenous Cricket Championships, overcoming Western Australia at Traeger Park.

The home side was lead with bat and ball by captain Anita Silva, who top scored with 36* (48) opening the batting.

Silva partnered with Natalie Smedley (31* from 29) in a 60-run first wicket stand to see the Territory chase down Western Australia's 79 all out in the 18th over.

Coulson (3-11 from four) lead the Queensland attack in restricting Victoria to 6-71, with Clodagh Ryall (1-6 from four), Tracee Williamson (1-6 from four) and Grace Abdy (1-17 from four) also picking up wickets.

Tahlia Meier (23 from 38) continued her consistent form with the bat for Victoria, however support for the opener was limited with Shannon Johnson (15 from 35) and Brooke Nam (10 from 13) the only other Victorian batters making double figure contributions.

In reply to Victoria's low total Lenoy made sure the result was never in doubt, the Queensland opener scoring an unbeaten 47* (31) to see Queensland surpass Victoria's total inside 10 overs.

Shannon Johnson (2-13 from two) was the only Victorian wicket taker.
