   Shannon McGuire

Shannon McGuire is a Wadjuk, Yed and Balardong woman of the Nyoongar Nations who has extensive experience in the Fashion industry spanning over the last 20 years where she began her career as a model on the inaugural season of Australia's Next Top Model where she came in 3rd place. After signing to Sydney based agency Chic Models, Shannon worked in the industry for a number of years as one of Australia's only First Nation's creatives. As a national finalist in Miss Universe Australia in 2008 she realised the need for support of our Indigenous models and creatives and developed the Miss NAIDOC Perth leadership and empowerment program in 2010. This program now in its 12th year has now expanded to include Mr NAIDOC Perth.

Shannon has featured in many publications including Vogue Australia, Marie Claire, Instyle and Fabric Quarterly.

Shannon is looking forward to sharing the stories of our First Nation's creatives from all over the country and how they are building their businesses in the industry.
