Prior to joining the National Indigenous Times in February 2022, Tom spent nine years working for Seven West Media in regional WA, primarily in Karratha, Kalgoorlie and Rubibi (Broome) as the Northern Papers editor. News interests include politics, history, regional affairs and the quirky stories which make outback Australia great. He has won awards for photography, feature writing and headline journalism.
