The GIS Transition Lead will provide technical leadership for the establishment of a governed, resilient and organisation-wide GIS capability through delivery of the Glenelg Hopkins CMA GIS Roadmap.

About the position:
The GIS Transition Lead will provide technical leadership for the establishment of a governed, resilient and organisation-wide GIS capability through delivery of the Glenelg Hopkins CMA GIS Roadmap.
The role will act as the GIS Platform Owner and Data Steward during initial implementation and will be responsible for developing standards, governance arrangements, data management systems, training programs and business processes that support the organisation’s transition to a QGIS-first environment.
The position will drive implementation of key initiatives across data, systems, people and procedures to ensure spatial information becomes a trusted organisational asset supporting waterway management, floodplain management, emergency response, environmental planning and corporate reporting.
