Reconciliation SA is the peak body for reconciliation in South Australia, working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, organisations, governments and supporters to advance reconciliation, address racism and promote respectful relationships across the state.

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic, cultural and operational leadership to the organisation. Reporting to the Board and working closely with the Co-Chairs, the CEO will lead the organisation in line with its strategic direction, support the growth and sustainability of the reconciliation movement across South Australia, and ensure Reconciliation SA operates with strong governance, cultural integrity and impact.

The CEO is a senior leader who brings credibility, influence and sound judgement, and who is able to work effectively in complex, political and culturally sensitive environments. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, particularly with First Nations leaders and communities, and the ability to work collaboratively across government, community and corporate sectors.

This role is suited to a leader with:

• senior executive leadership experience to drive sustainable growth, ideally within the not-for-profit, community or Aboriginal-led sector;
• strong cultural competence and a demonstrated commitment to reconciliation;
• experience working with boards and contemporary governance arrangements; and,
• the ability to lead a safe, inclusive, and high performing workplace that supports staff wellbeing.
